Duncan Ellis brings more than 12 years of experience working with Fortune 500 clients at Xerox Canada to lead Avanti’s daily operations and software implementation teams as General Manager. His focus on employee engagement, business development and operational excellence is key in driving client satisfaction and success.
A man of letters, Mr. Ellis holds three degrees from the University of Toronto: Master of Education, Bachelor of Education, and Bachelor of Physical Education.
Outside of work, Mr. Ellis enjoys travelling with his family, tending his vegetable garden, and financing two sons at university concurrently.
Matt Prusa joined Avanti in 2013 and leads strategy development for the Avanti Sales and Solution Architect teams as Director of Sales Operations. As the previous owner of the Xerox sales agency in the greater Kansas City area, Mr. Prusa brings 22 years of industry experience to Avanti, with the goal of establishing Avanti as North America’s leading provider of Print MIS solutions and expanding into new markets.
Mr. Prusa is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Kansas City with a Master in Business Administration. He has Certified Public Accounting and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt designations.
Geoff brings a wealth of industry experience to Avanti, with close to 25 years in the printing industry, in litho, web and large format. He has worked in Production, Operations and Account Management roles over the course of his career and has utilized both commercial and homegrown MIS.
Before joining Avanti in early 2017, Geoff spent 15 years in the Large Format Digital segment, most recently as General Manager, overseeing Sales, Customer Service, Production and Shipping / Distribution. His team’s use of their MIS system drove significant process and margin improvement.
This extensive background brings a real-world perspective to the Quality initiatives at Avanti, where Geoff’s focus is driving continuous improvement and test automation.
Geoff holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from Ryerson University in Toronto. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling and tennis, and has been known to sample local Ontario whiskeys, on occasion.
As Director, Product Management, Josh is responsible for product strategy, design, and direction, working with customers, product specialists, and programmers, to develop automated business workflow solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Josh joined Avanti in 2004 as a member of the customer support team, later moving into the Product Management department as a Product Specialist, then ultimately into his current role. Josh is responsible for architecting many features in both Avanti Classic and Avanti Slingshot, including the JDF Framework and its certification.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, and certifications for JDF Expert and Pragmatic Marketing.
Kazi Islam joined Avanti as a Lead Developer in 2017 and is now leading the Avanti Slingshot Development team as the Director of Software Development. He has over 15 years of experience in software development and management, enterprise application development, with expertise in the fields of Telecommunication, Financial Services, and Printing.
Mr. Islam is a strong proponent of innovation, and leads his team with this as a core principle. He is proficient with the principles of OOA/D, SDLC and software system design. He is laser focused on shaping the technical roadmap of Avanti products with technologies that will bring value and ease of maintenance, to serve the future needs of Avanti Customers.
Mr. Islam attained a Bachelor of Computer Science [Honours] Degree from University of Windsor in 2007, and worked with CGI, PTC and Ericsson Canada in leadership roles, prior to joining Avanti.
Zehava Tyberg has held a number of roles at Avanti, including Developer, Product Specialist and has over 20+ years of experience working in the graphics arts printing industry. In her current role as Director of the Classic Product, she is responsible for product design and direction, working with Customers, Developers and Support Teams, to maintain stability and improve functionality of the Classic product. She has vast experience working with the Classic and Dynamics databases, with the use of Crystal and SQL.
Ms. Tyberg holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and Mathematics degree from McGill University.
